After years of anticipation, the sophomore season of Invincible, which adapts the famous Image Comics superhero series into a new medium, is almost here. As fans prepare to tune in for these new Invincible episodes (including a surprise Atom Eve bonus episode that will drop very soon), the series’ San Diego Comic-Con panel revealed some epic updates, including the news that Emmy award-winning actor Sterling K. Brown has been cast in the series — and we now know the role he’ll be taking on. Brown will play the role of the famed villain Angstrom Levy, as revealed by Invincible co-creator Robert Kirkman in a recent interview with ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis.

@StreamrEnt announces who will play the villainous role and with 4.2K Views, looks like many Tweeters are happy with it:

“I can’t say which actors are playing them,” Kirkman spoke about the new cast members, which you can watch in our interview above.“I don’t want to tell you that Sterling K Brown is playing Angstrom Levy. I feel bad about the Mortal Kombat thing, so I’m slipping that one in. I hope that the Prime Video people that are off camera aren’t moving in to tackle me.”

Who Is Angstrom Levy in Invincible?

In the Invincible comics, Levy possesses the ability to open up alternate realities, which quickly becomes a curse. After kidnapping Mark Grayson/Invincible’s mother and young brother, Levy makes use of his powers to transport Mark to a variety of different universes, including a Marvel universe crossover with Spider-Man. Later in the series’ run, Levy reappears with a new master plan: enlist the other wicked Invincibles from the other various realities and use them to sully Mark’s image.

Kirkman had hinted Levy’s role in the show back in 2021, implying that the program’s voyage through various realities in future seasons may pave the way for that debut.

What Is Invincible About?
